Aluk

THE BRIEF

What do you get when you work with one of the nicest local agencies in Birmingham in Alive, and AluK a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems?

A fantastically awesome experience that’s what!

We’ve worked with many people over the years, however, Graeme Longstaff of Alive has to be the nicest and “raddest” of them all!

Alive approached us to film a corporate overview film for Aluk where we acted as the production crew with the know-how to make their storyboards come to life.

THE PRODUCTION

Production

This was a large scale shoot that took us to many locations including the main manufacturing hub in Bristol to the Aluk design studio in London.

Our mission was to deliver a film that took the viewer through the journey of design, production, customer service, installation and finally in home application.

When it comes to the production of aluminium windows and doors you are faced with lovely lines, shapes and movement which always look great on camera.

Lots of symmetry to play with just like Hollywood Director Michael Mann does in so much of his work… minus De Niro and Pacino. Who needs them anyway…

Luckily, the man we now lovingly call G, gave us the time to think about how best to capture these processes in order to make the film as impactful as possible.

Our favourite sequence is right at the end where the family enters the property and the star of the show runs towards the door in perfect time with the movement of the camera…

You couldn’t get Brad Pitt to act that better!
